Strömma Turism & Sjöfart AB

The company's holdings in tourism mainly comprise consist of interests in Strömma Turism och Sjöfart AB. The company is currently active in the Nordics; Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland, and focuses especially on sightseeing and cruises in the archipelago. Strömma Turism & Sjöfart AB and many of the company's trademarks have a strong connection reaching far back in Swedish tourism history. Strömma has its roots in the Finnish company Ångfartygs AB Bore, established in 1897 by founders including Fredric von Rettig, and Strömma Kanal Aktiebolaget, founded by vessel enthusiasts who saved a number of older vessels that would otherwise have been lost to history. 

Bore Lines, as the company was previously known, acquired a large number of companies concentrating on tourism and shipping. In 1999, Bore Lines AB changed its name to Strömma Turism & Sjöfart.

Hemavan Tärnaby is Northern Sweden's largest ski resort and offers outstanding skiing for both families and friends in a fantastic mountain environment. It is a growing ski resort with a large selection of slopes and restaurants. Hemavan has 10 ski lifts, one of which is a gondola/telemix and 30 slopes with varying degrees of difficulty suitable for both kids and experienced skiers. Hemavan is unique as the only ski resort in the Nordic countries that boasts an airport in the middle of the village with walking distance to both accomodation and skiing. In Hemavan you will also find the freeski paradise Kobåset, which is considered by many to be Sweden's best freeskiing area.

The company's investments in real estate are carried out through PC Rettig & Co Real Estate and consist of directly owned assets and interests in Rettig Fastighetsutveckling Ab. The aim is to create lasting value. The company is focused on owning, managing and letting out residential, office and commercial real estate in central locations such as Meritullintori in Helsinki. Most of the properties are located in Helsinki. Rettig Fastighetsutveckling lets commercial- and office space to companies in the Sinebrychoff block in Helsinki. The property portfolio also includes the Hietalahti parking garage with spaces for long and short-term parking.
